Michael West is known for his haunting tales of fiction, but it is his true account of the Indiana Horror Writers’ Winter Retreat that has recently caused quite a stir. The event was held in the haunted Woodcarver’s building in Converse, Indiana, and Mr. West’s retelling of the real-life creepiness within is as engaging as any of his short stories or novels.
