Vampires Don’t Sparkle! is for all those horror fans who have lamented that “Twilight ruined vampires.” No, no, no. This group of horror writers–a mix of well established names and new, exciting up-and-comers–says, “Not so fast! We’re going to take back the night!” And in their stories, vampires don’t go to high school, they don’t mope and brood, and they are anything but chaste. These will be gritty, horrific tales; stories full of blood, lust, and all manner of taboo. Yes, my friends, these are the bloodsuckers that true horror fans have been waiting for, and they will not disappoint!
Michael West (Skull Full of Kisses, The Wide Game) is set to edit this ambitious anthology for Ambrotos Press, the elite new Horror imprint of Dark Quest Books. The book is slated for a March 2012 release.
Stay tuned for more updates and information as it becomes available!
Awesome! Good luck with this project, Mike!
wonderful Mike, what a project, and who better than my favorite horror author!!
For vampires that don’t sparkle, I highly recommend Modern Marvels – Viktoriana. A real Gothic horror novel.
Thanks!
