Poseidon’s Children Is “Unique and Well-Written!”

PCKindle

Alchemy of Scrawl just posted a write-up of my first novel in the Legacy of the Gods series: Poseidon’s Children.  Here’s a bit of what they had to say about it:

“I really enjoyed this story. The writing was just spot on for me. The different characters were unique and well-written and oh boy are the gods back with all their brutality and glory… this story just seemed to have everything going – writing, characters, plot, action. Great read!”

Alchemy of Scrawl Thinks “Cinema” Is Just the Ticket!

CinemaofShadowsKindle

Alchemy of Scrawl just did a write-up on my novel, Cinema of Shadows.  Here’s a bit of what they had to say:

“I like horror.  Love ghost stories.  This is a blend of the two with some horrific events that provide the fertile ground for a haunting in the Woodfield Movie Palace.  It really read like a good horror flick you’d put in for Halloween.  The ghost hunter stuff was accurate.  I’ve watched all those shows. Will the team survive? You’ll have to read this tale to find out!”

Spook House Is “a Fabulous Find!”

Ereader logo09

eReaderPerks.com has just posted an amazing review of my new novel, Spook House.  Here is an excerpt:

“What a fabulous find! Spook House by Michael West is one of those Horror books that just grabs you from the very first page with characters you really want to get to know–and some you never want to have the bad luck to run into, that’s for sure!  This is a super scary, and sometimes delightfully gross, horror tale…Oh, and the illustrations…WOW! What an unexpected touch to find in this book!  That spider-dog was one of the sickest things I’ve seen; it was so great! Where do authors come up with this stuff?  I wonder sometimes just how terrifying their nightmares are if they think up this stuff while they are awake.  The town, the characters, the creatures, and the back story in Spook House are all so wonderfully crafted I swear I have just been on a great adventure and I wish it wasn’t over.”

Pick of the Literate has just posted a wonderful new review of my novel Cinema of Shadows, giving it five stars…er, flaming skulls!

Here is an excerpt:

“Many of us go to the movie theatre to be frightened.  The difference is this movie theater is terrifying and there is NO movie running.   This novel is a first rate horror story.  Michael West creates realistic, likeable characters.   I think that is what I like best about his books.  I’m not a big fan of spooky stories but I like his and his characterizations are what make it likeable for me.  The characters are likeable and are forced to face their personal demons.   West does a great job building tension and terror.”
